We are moving ever closer to our move in date, which fills me with both excitement and dread. As much as I am thrilled to be moving into a home we have poured so much energy (and money!) into, there is still an overwhelming amount of decisions and an an even vaster amount of painting that needs to be done. We were quoted £12k for our builders to paint the walls, so it’s safe to say Chris is round the house painting another mist coat as I type! I’ll obviously join him post pressing send.
Developments since my last renovation diary…
We Chris started painting the loft rooms:

We ordered a kitchen! At one stage we weren’t sure we could afford a kitchen but after a rejig of the space and a re-valuation of what we needed, the run of cabinets became much smaller and thus the price more achievable.
We have ordered the carcasses via Ikea and cabinet fronts via Husk (I know, I thought we’d go with Holte, too!). We are still undecided on the exact materials/colours and it won’t be ready by the time we move in but for now, it’s ordered!
The extension has been built! Well, mostly.
