Cream trousers: is this a bad idea?

Hiya!

You might remember I bought these after my Spring Style Rut post, as I realised all my trousers were dark or jeans. I tried them and they were comfortable (the elasticated waist does come undone regularly though, to give fair warning) but I needed to try them with a few outfits to make the final decision.

Cotton, elasticated waist, barrel leg. They’re my ideal trousers. The colour was a rash decision, yes, and cream is quite a tricky trouser colour to style, but I was hoping they would lift the palette of my wardrobe a little.

I liked the idea of pairing them with a colour so tried them with this pale blue. The trainers bring it back from being too whimsical (for me).

Cardigan: Sezane. Trousers: Cos. Trainers: Adidas. Glasses: Specsavers (I work with Specsavers).

I then tried them with my Aligne preppy knit. I think racing green and cream is one of life’s top pairings but wasn’t wowed by this outfit - I think the v neck on the cardigan worked seeing a bit more skin.

Jumper: Aligne (sold out). Sandals: Marni via Vinted.
