I was not, in all honesty, prepared for how long things take when you get other people involved with a house renovation. Although I feel hugely privileged to have someone else contributing to the graft of labouring over plans, helping to configure spaces, I did think (okay, hope) it’d be a tad quicker. I am not a patient person.
